The person extensively credited with being the revolutionary of recent American soccer is Walter Camp, a Connecticut born Yale alum who by the age of solely thirty-three had already acquired the title of the “Father of American Soccer.” Camp was an 1880 graduate of Yale College and would go on to function the top coach at Yale from 1888-1891 earlier than transferring to the west coast to function the primary coach at Stanford College.
