Training is conducted during the week in the evening primarily at Caven Point and at Gateway Field. We play most of our matches on Saturdays and Sundays at the Caven Point Sports Complex on a recently turfed soccer-only field, at Gateway Field downtown on Merseles Avenue, Berry Lane field or and at Lincoln Park over on the West Side.

The field was dedicated in 1990 by Mary Lou Jaroschak, and named after her husband, the late Joseph J. Jaroschak.

Contact: Ira Thor (201/200-3301) Located less than a mile southwest of the main campus, adjacent to Newark Bay, NJCU’s primary outdoor athletic complex opened in 1976 and has undergone constant upgrading ever since. The scenic, waterfront Thomas M. Gerrity Athletic Complex is utilized for practice and games by the men’s soccer, women’s soccer, baseball and softball teams.
It is appropriately named because Coach Alex is a gifted teacher. Charles learned the fundamentals of soccer and the importance of teamwork while gaining in self-confidence.
